The Technique of Deviation and Its Effect on the Poetic Text (Ali Sedqi Abd al-Qadir as a Model)

Abstract

This study examines the technique of deviation and its impact on the poetic text in the poetry of the Libyan poet Ali Sedqi Abd al-Qadir, one of the pioneers of modern and contemporary Libyan poetry. His poetic experience combines the influence of classical Arabic heritage with the trends of renewal that have shaped modern Arabic poetry. The study is grounded in the significance of modern stylistic studies in revealing the artistic and aesthetic values of poetic texts, particularly the technique of deviation, which represents an important stylistic mechanism in shaping poetic structures and generating their meanings. The study aims to examine the concept of deviation from both Arab and Western critical perspectives, identify its manifestations in Ali Sedqi Abd al-Qadir's poetry, and explore its artistic and aesthetic value and its role in constructing the poetic text. The study analyzes selected poetic texts by examining deviation at syntactic, semantic, and rhythmic levels and clarifying its relationship to the poet's vision and poetic purposes. The findings indicate that deviation contributes to shaping the poetic text and enriching its meanings. The poet also employs this technique effectively as an artistic means of renewal and aesthetic expression, enhancing the expressive and creative qualities of the selected poetic texts.
