Conflict of Interest Policy

Aljabel Journal of Humanities and Applied Sciences is committed to transparency and integrity. We require all participants in the publication process (authors, reviewers, editorial board) to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. A conflict of interest is any situation or relationship that could, or appears to, influence objective judgment or decisions in the research or publication process.

Types of Conflicts of Interest:

  • Financial: Such as ownership, employment, consultancies, research grants, speaker fees, patents.

  • Personal: Family relationships or close friendships with authors or reviewers.

  • Academic/Professional: Direct competition with authors or other reviewers, or affiliation with the same institution.

Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest:

  • Authors:

    • Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that could influence their research findings or interpretation.

    • Any funding sources for the research must be clearly stated.

  • Reviewers:

    • Reviewers must disclose any conflict of interest that could affect their ability to provide an objective review.

    • If a conflict of interest exists, the reviewer must decline to review the manuscript and inform the editorial board.

  • Editorial Board:

    • Editorial board members must disclose any conflicts of interest when handling manuscripts.

    • If a conflict of interest exists, the editorial member must recuse themselves from handling the relevant manuscript, and it will be assigned to another editor.

This policy aims to enhance trust in published research and ensure that publication decisions are made solely based on scientific merit.
