The Level of Play Employed in the Educational Process for Kindergarten Children from the Perspective of Their Teachers

The study aims to identify: the extent of the existence of spaces and halls designated and suitable enough to practice play, the extent of the existence and diversity of tools and equipment suitable for implementing play activities, the availability of games for children in kindergartens in the Gharyan region according to the modern international classification, and to know the most methods used by teachers to implement play activities in the kindergarten. The descriptive analytical method was used as a study method. The study community consisted of (292) teachers distributed over (10) kindergartens (governmental) affiliated with the Gharyan Education Monitoring, and the study sample amounted to (95) kindergarten teachers who were randomly selected from the study community. A questionnaire prepared by the researchers was used as a study tool after conducting psychometric transactions on it. The most important results reached by the study: the lack of spaces and halls designated and suitable enough to practice play in kindergartens, the lack of diversity in tools and equipment for play activities in kindergartens, there is some difference in the type of games practiced according to the gender of kindergarten children, there is some diversity in the methods used by kindergarten teachers in implementing play activities in the kindergarten.
